Timothy K. Lewis is the co-chair of the appellate practice at Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Lewis served as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and, before that, as a judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. At the time of his appointment to the bench by President George H.W. Bush, he was the youngest federal judge in the U.S. He also served as an assistant district attorney in Alleghany County, Pennsylvania and as an assistant U.S. Attorney of western Pennsylvania.
Lewis is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Arbitration Association, and is also active in the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution. He earned a J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law, and a B.A. from Tufts University.
