On March 5, 2008 TCP honored Judge William S. Sessions with the 2008 Constitutional Champion Award. The event was held at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington D.C. and the audience represented a Who’s Who of the legal, judicial, and policy communities. Working with The Constitution Project, Judge Sessions has been an ardent advocate for restoring our country’s system of checks and balances, for protecting civil liberties and privacy even as we seek to keep our country safe, and for countering efforts to deny fundamental day-in-court rights and due process protections to those accused of crimes.  TCP was proud to honor Judge William S. Sessions, who served three presidents as the Director of the FBI, for his years of service, dedication and advocacy.
