Sam Millsap, Former District Attorney, Speaks on Cantu, Davis Cases and Flaws in Administration of Death Penalty

On July 17, 2007, Constitution Project Death Penalty Committee member Sam Millsap appeared on National Public Radio’s Tell Me More to discuss the administration of the death penalty in the United States. Millsap specifically discussed the case of Ruben Cantu, a man Millsap prosecuted who was executed shortly before serious questions were raised as to his guilt. Millsap also commented on the case of Troy Davis, a Georgia death row inmate whose case is currently being reviewed by the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles after numerous eyewitnesses recanted their previous identifications of Davis.
