Ambassador Thomas Pickering: Treatment and Torture of Suspected Terrorists

On October 21, Ambassador Thomas Pickering from The Constitution Project’s bipartisan, blue-ribbon Task Force on Detainee Treatment will highlight Task Force findings about past reactions to global terrorist threats, and its recommendations for coping with the next geopolitical crisis. Ambassador Pickering will discuss The Constitution Project’s Task Force on Detainee Treatment recent report that shines a light on the federal government’s policies on torture. The 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm event is open to the public. Tickets to event cost $20 for non-members, $7 for students and no cost for members.  The Commonwealth Club of California’s San Francisco office is located at 595 Market Street, 2nd Floor.
